I stumbled across a workshop given by Dan Burkholder on using translucent vellum paper to print on and then adding a silver leaf gilding behind the image. This method seems to add some luminescence to the image. Because of my love for historical structures and being part of a community that protects our past, I had the privilege of walking through 8 or 9 historic homes and finding the most unique places of texture and light. This allowed me to slow down and take in the beauty of these unique interiors. Out of this experience came a new body of work entitled “Textures of Interior Light”.
